What Nofim is like
In Nofim (literally "views"), as the name suggests, the view is part of the experience. A significant share of apartments in the neighborhood enjoy open views — a premium buyers are willing to pay for, and rightly so, since it can't be recreated through renovation or an added room.
The atmosphere in the neighborhood is quiet and family-oriented. As in other peripheral neighborhoods, the trade-off for quiet is usually a somewhat longer commute to employment centers and the train station.
Who Nofim suits
- Anyone for whom view and quiet are a central consideration
- Families looking for a relaxed atmosphere
- Buyers willing to trade centrality for quality of life
What to check before buying in Nofim
- Whether the view is actually guaranteed — what's planned for the lot facing the building
- Apartment orientation: a west-facing view is beautiful but comes with strong afternoon sun
- Distance and frequency of public transport
- Elevation changes and slopes on the street
